Before The Comet Comes: Press Room
Concepts are hard things to write plays about. Some experimental theatre dredges through the muck of inaccessible ideas that are never realized and is often so didactic that it's perceived as elitist. Nikki Appino has avoided this trap. Her work is textually dynamic, and rooted in the experiences of real people. Pervious productions have earned her a reputation for being a pioneer of impassioned performance that speaks volumes about the human experience, not just ideas. - David Perez, Tablet
